Azhan Miraza was born in Banda Aceh in September 12th 1980. Since 12 years old AZHAN has been interested in learning drum. From VOODOO's drummer, Ossa Sungkar, Azhan improved the technic of playing drum. In 1996, he found his thrash metal band, ANAL INTRUDER.
This band played songs from Metallica, Sepultura, Megadeth, Yngwie Malmsteen, Napalm Death and Dream Theater. In 1997, Azhan joined the MEPHYSTOPHELES, a band played mystical death metal. With MEPHYSTOPHELES he recorded a promo tape entitled THE CURSE OF SATAN.This album was played in some radios.
In 1999, MUSICA, one of the major labels from Indonesia, under ROTORCORP was interested in recording one of their songs for METALIK KLINIK 3 COMPILATION. This compilation consists of 12 metal, black metal and brutal death metal bands from Indonesia.
At that time, Azhan also played with NO-CLEAR, a band which played songs from MEGADETH and DREAM THEATER. With this band Azhan often won the competitions in some festivals as the best drummer. And Azhan joined BLEND....BLEND is a band which played pop music. Due to his study Azhan had to leave his band. Although Azhan was busy with his study, he didn't leave the music totally. He kept playing music with some other bands, eventhough it was not as serious as his previous band. One of these bands is THE STRANGE FRUIT. With this band he gave his performances in some cafes in Kemang.
Besides playing drum, the second instrument that Azhan plays is guitar. During his studied he always spent his leisure time to play guitar. He was inspired by Marty Friedman, Michael Romeo, George Bellas, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Jason Becker, Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, Rusty Cooley, John Petrucci, Ron Jarzombek and Bucket Head.
After finished his study, Azhan created some songs. With help of his friend Boyke, Azhan released his solo album PROJECT ONE in Mei 2005. This album tells about Azhan`s life after he finished his study. Also, one of his songs tells about the tsunami (TSUNAMI DESTROYED MY VILLAGE). Now Azhan is preparing new materials for the second album. BOYKE will be involved in Azhan`s second album.
